Our Team 

Travis Friesen

Travis co-founded Friesen Landscaping in January 2010 and has been a part of the landscape industry for over 25 years. He received a degree in Horticulture from the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in 1998. Travis meets with clients, bids projects, manages projects, oversees all crews, and manages business operations. He is also ICPI Certified (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute). In Travis’ spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and hunting.

Dani Friesen

Dani Friesen co-founded Friesen Landscaping in January 2010 and has over a decade of hands-on experience in the landscaping industry. She manages the office, marketing, HR, and anywhere else that is needed. Her favorite part about managing this business is watching our team members succeed and grow in their roles. Her favorite thing to do in her spare time is spending time outdoors with her family.

Dylon Marshalek

Dylon Marshalek received an associate’s Degree in Agricultural Business Management, with a Minor in Turf Grass Management and Horticulture from Southeast Community College in 2013. He completed his college internship at Friesen Landscaping, officially joined the team in May 2013, and is currently a Landscape Foreman. He also holds a Pesticide Applicator License from the Nebraska Department of Agriculture and is ICPI certified. He started in April 2013, and being with Friesen for the last 10 years has made the company like his family.

Kyle Hurt

Kyle has been with Friesen for 2 years, since February 2021. He finds his work to be very fulfilling and he loves working on projects that are unique and outside the box as it makes him feel like he is creating a form of art.

Sam Raine

Sam received her degree in Horticulture with a focus in Landscape Design in December 2015 from UNL and has been working in the industry since 2014. She started her career as a laborer/foreman, which she says has greatly enhanced her design skills. Sam describes her personal design style as modern meets natural. She loves using plant material to enhance hardscapes and working with clients to make their visions come to life!

Ted Hilger

Ted started in June 2021, and is thankful for the opportunity to work with a neighbor and friend. He enjoys fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

Austin Hurt

Austin has been with Friesen for 3 years, since Feb 2020. Austin has several years of previous landscape experience and wanted to move into the hardscape world. He is grateful for all the opportunities for growth and the chance to be outside and enjoy nature.

Alex Anderson

Alex started in April 2022. He enjoys being able to create patios and seeing the project from start to finish. He also likes the opportunity to go out of town on projects.

Chris Meza

Chris started in March 2021, and is currently a student at UNL, majoring in Construction Management. Chris is thankful that Friesen Landscaping has given him the experience he needed to help pick his major.

Abraham Tshiela

Abraham started in August 2022, and is currently in school for business administration. His favorite part of projects is being able to see the finished product and help with plantings. Abraham spends his free time playing soccer with friends.

Estevan Barrientos

Estevan started in March of 2023 and enjoys creating beautiful spaces for our customers. He has several years of landscaping experience and is grateful that he can continue learning more about the landscape industry.

Tyler Tikalsky

Graci Escobar

Graci received her bachelor’s degree in General Studies in 2017 and has since worked in several different offices and businesses as an assistant. She enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers and helping the business run smoothly. A lifelong love of flowers and appreciation for hard work led her to Friesen Landscaping in August 2023. When she’s at home, she loves to spend time on her patio with her two cats, Wynnie and Mina, as well as go on adventures with her family and friends.
